Enjoying the Outdoors

We spent the evening outdoors. Andrew played while Stan worked in the garden and I planted some pansies.

Woodwick Candle

My secret sister surprised me with a candle with a wooden wick. The crackling sound is soothing and reminds me of a fireplace. Andrew has always been intrigued with candles. He was having fun checking this one out on Sunday at noon.

Sunday, April 19, 2009

I have been looking for a table and chair set to replace the hand me downs that we have been using since we got married ten years ago. Saturday I was driving home and spotted this set for sale in someones yard. They did not want much for it, so I grabbed it up. It fits my taste perfectly. Notice the two captain chairs in the background and the formica top. The Lord is good!

Coloring Easter Eggs

Andrew and I enjoyed coloring Easter eggs. He always looks forward to this ritual. We are so blessed to have him in our home.

Easter Basket Surprise

My secret sister surprised me with this lovely basket of flowers on Easter Sunday. It was sooo fragrant. Thank you soooo much!!

Cousins at the Akron Zoo

I ran up to the Akron Zoo with Andrew and his cousin John. Boy, did they ever have fun together. John said that he had never been to a zoo before.

Easter Party at School

Thanks to Sue Myers the fellows enjoyed an Easter egg hunt at school. They each had twenty eggs to find. Of course, she had them filled with goodies.

A Passover Seder

Tonight I attended a Passover Seder put on by the Salem Wesleyan Academy. Andrew and his classmates took a part in it. We were all seated at tables and went through the passover rituals. It was very meaningful. Thank you so much, Mr. Dan Forrider, and all the teachers who took a part in making this a meaningful time.
